Apache License 2.0
The license that governs the use, modification, and redistribution of Crafters Development plugins and covered software.
Ownership and corporate identity
Crafters Development is a software and infrastructure division operated and managed by Crafters Corporation. The division is responsible for the design, development, documentation, and community distribution of the Crafters Development plugin ecosystem.
Unless a file or project states otherwise, copyright and related rights in the covered Crafters Development software are held by Crafters Corporation and its applicable contributors. xUnknowns is the founder and lead developer associated with the Crafters Development division.
What the license covers
The Apache License 2.0 applies to the source code, compiled plugin files, configuration examples, documentation, and other files expressly marked as licensed under Apache-2.0 in the relevant repository or distribution.
Some projects may include separate notices for third-party libraries, media, trademarks, or other assets. Those notices remain applicable and may impose different license terms on those specific components.
What you may do
Subject to the Apache License 2.0, you are allowed to:
- Use the plugins on any number of personal, community, educational, or commercial Minecraft servers.
- Copy and install the covered software without activation keys, per-server fees, or license-seat limits.
- Modify the source code, configuration defaults, messages, and other covered files.
- Create and distribute derivative works, forks, integrations, and compiled versions.
- Redistribute original or modified copies, including as part of a larger project or commercial service.
- Use the software for commercial purposes without paying royalties to Crafters Corporation.
Your responsibilities
When you redistribute covered software or a derivative work, you must:
- Include a copy of the Apache License 2.0 or a clear reference to it.
- Retain applicable copyright, patent, trademark, attribution, and NOTICE statements.
- State clearly which files you changed when distributing modified files.
- Preserve the license notices included with the original distribution.
- Understand that your derivative work is your responsibility and is not automatically endorsed by Crafters Corporation.
The Apache License 2.0 does not require you to publish your own source code, but it does not remove obligations that apply to third-party components or separate files with their own license.
Trademarks and branding
The names Crafters Corporation, Crafters Development, CraftersStaff, CraftersBan, CraftersLogin, CraftersFastAuth, CraftersAnticheat, associated logos, and related branding may be trademarks or protected identifiers of Crafters Corporation or their respective owners.
The Apache License 2.0 does not grant permission to use those names or logos to suggest sponsorship, endorsement, affiliation, or official status. You may accurately describe compatibility or identify the original project, but modified distributions should be clearly labeled as unofficial.
Third-party components
Crafters Development software may integrate or depend on open-source projects such as H2, HikariCP, MySQL Connector/J, ProtocolLib, PlaceholderAPI, Adventure/MiniMessage, Redis clients, and other libraries.
Each third-party component remains subject to its own license. Review the applicable NOTICE, dependency metadata, and project documentation before redistributing a build that includes third-party software.
Warranty and liability
The covered software is provided “AS IS”, without warranties or conditions of any kind, as described in the Apache License 2.0. Crafters Corporation, Crafters Development, contributors, and maintainers are not responsible for server downtime, data loss, configuration conflicts, security incidents, or other damage resulting from use or modification of the software.
Always maintain current backups and test updates in a safe environment before deploying them to a production server.
